Naked furniture....

WoW! I never meant for a month to go by without posting but school started and... enough said! I just looked at 3 custom built pieces waiting the finishing coats. The small plant stand will be a pure white, the taller chimney cabinet is antique white and the bookcase mustard. Time to go paint!

New color idea - Liz asked for espresso brown & black... I was not sure at first but WoW! I like it!

If you want a bench in a particular area but don't think there is room - this narrow wood plank bench might be your answer!

 Cedar beams from our family room have been repurposed (recycled) into an outdoor bench!

 Here is a custom order on the coffee table chest! Clever idea.....

A customer emailed Gary asking for a custom finish for the coffee table chest - Sage Green over Old Brick Red, basically, a watermelon motif. :-) with the table's interior red (like a watermelon ;)

I loved the idea and it turned out great! Thanks Michael in Valley Village, California!

Blogging about Buck Creek Furnishings

Step-back Hutch

Yea! I have been talking about blogging about the furniture I watch Gary design, cut, assemble, paint and finish and finally I am beginning!! It still amazes me how he can take straight boards, cut and create a working functional piece do furniture!

I plan for this blog is to share with everyone (especially the owner) pictures of Gary making furniture. You might see the beginning assembly, first coat of color or the finished piece. I hope it is interesting to view a bit of behind-the-scenes at Buck Creek Furnishings.

My first picture post will be one of my favorite pieces Gary made, my hutch. This hutch is a 2-door  cabinet with a step back shelf.  Gary can make you one too but with shipping constraints it would be pick-up only (Kansas City area)
